Job summary
GTI Fabrication is seeking a Production Manager to drive day-to-day operations in our Buffalo, NY production environment. You will own staffing, scheduling, throughput, and safety while coordinating with metal fabrication, welding, and assembly teams to optimize flow.
The role requires 7–10 years of leadership in contract manufacturing, hands-on shop-floor presence, and strong Lean/ERP experience. You will lead 25–100+ employees and deliver cost-effective, on-time performance.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience leading Production Supervisors and frontline teams.
- Contract manufacturing experience including EMS or engineered-to-order products.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and value stream optimization.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations for an assigned value stream.
- Own staffing, scheduling, throughput, and execution against plan.
- Develop and coach Production Supervisors and teams (25–100+ employees).
- Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets (SQDC).
- Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen events and VSM.
- Support New Product Introduction and manufacturing readiness.
