Job summary

Granite State Manufacturing in Manchester, NH, seeks a Value Stream Leader to direct daily operations in the Mill and Lathe machining value stream, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time production of high-precision components.

You will lead machinists and setup technicians, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to meet customer requirements in a high-mix environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, lead, or value stream management experience preferred.
• Experience in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume contract manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Experience with CNC milling and turning operations.
• Experience producing tight-tolerance components for demanding markets preferred.
• U.S. Person eligibility or authorization to access export-controlled information required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and direction to Mill and Lathe production personnel.
• Foster safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production priorities.
• Train and develop employees to improve capability and productivity.
• Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to policies.
• Coordinate with Planning and Machining Manager to optimize resource utilization.
• Execute daily production plans to meet customer delivery commitments.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and constraints.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Promote a right-first-time manufacturing culture.
