Job summary

Granite State Manufacturing, a leading contract manufacturer in New Hampshire, is seeking an inspector to read blueprints and determine dimensions and tolerances. You will measure using verniers, calipers, micrometers, and height stands to verify machined and welded parts.

Join a team that emphasizes quality, safety, and on-time performance across large-format CNC work, heavy fabrication, and assembly. This role supports receiving and in-process inspections in a high-skill environment.

Qualifications

• Certification from college or technical school, or three years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Basic knowledge of plating, chromate irradite, tin plating, hard coat, anodize etc. Basic knowledge of aluminum, delrin, steel, stainless steel.
• Strong computer skills. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Mozilla Thunderbird.
• Must be able to work independently without supervision.
• Access to export-controlled information; U.S. Person qualification or authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets work instructions and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Interprets and uses Geometric Tolerances. Measures, inspects and verifies machined, welded and finished parts for conformance to specifications.
• Completes receiving inspection of components.
• Supports first piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
