Job summary
Komatsu is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Value Innovation Group to lead cross-functional cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities that reduce costs while maintaining safety, quality, and delivery.
The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, painting and assembly, and will develop manufacturing methods that consistently meet print specifications.
Qualifications
- BS degree in manufacturing/industrial/mechanical engineering or closely related field.
- 3+ years in manufacturing engineering; 5+ years preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize cost reduction opportunities across product design and processes.
- Select tools on automated equipment (CNC) using CAD/CAM to optimize labor and facilities.
- Complete projects on time using planning tools and cross-functional communication.
- Recommend tooling and equipment to support fabrication and warehousing for existing and new models.
- Understand budgets and cost management while improving safety, quality, and cost.
