Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) seeks a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to provide comprehensive cost management services across the project lifecycle. You will validate invoices, forecast costs, and report variances while supporting procurement and value engineering to maximize client value.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, communicate effectively, and ensure alignment with client objectives from inception to closeout.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Strong cost management principles and contract administration knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with analytical problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cost estimating, budgeting, and cost planning across all project phases.
• Prepare periodic cost reports for senior staff and client review.
• Review cash flow and change orders, supporting procurement activities and bid analysis.
• Support value engineering and earned value analyses to optimize cost and quality.
• Attend bi-weekly cost meetings with contractors and engineering teams.
• Ensure contract compliance and successful project closeout.
