Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks an executive leader to oversee a portfolio of state, federal, and payer-sponsored value-based programs across UMMS. You will translate regulatory, contractual, financial, and performance requirements into strategic operating plans and guide member organizations toward contract success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration, Health Policy, Healthcare Management, or related field required.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible healthcare operations, population health, or value-based care experience.
• Experience with value-based reimbursement models, accountable care, regulatory reporting, and physician engagement.
• Master’s degree preferred with seven (7) years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages and leads the development and execution of operational strategies for value-based care programs.
• Translates requirements into operating models, implementation plans, and performance priorities.
• Serves as strategic advisor to leaders, practices, and stakeholders to identify opportunities and risks.
• Establishes structured performance-management routines with goal setting, reviews, and root-cause analysis.
• Acts as SME for the Maryland AHEAD Model and related value-based programs.
• Analyzes performance data to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Spreads leading practices across organizations, balancing local needs with standardization.
• Coordinates cross-functional program execution among multiple departments and partners.
• Leads governance and executive decision support with dashboards and risk assessments.
