We're looking for a Valuations Analyst to join a leading alternative investment firm. In this role, you'll be a key part of the financial reporting team, responsible for the accurate valuation of the firm’s diverse portfolio. You'll also provide essential analysis and reporting to our senior leaders, portfolio managers, and clients, giving them a clear view of daily performance.
Pricing & Valuation: Accurately price exchange-traded and OTC products by interpreting real-time market data, using third-party information, and running internal pricing models.
Intraday Monitoring: Continuously monitor pricing throughout the day and ensure all products are accurately priced at the end of the day.
Fixed Income & Derivatives: Determine correct pricing for a wide range of products including bonds, bank loans, credit default swaps, and interest rate swaps across multiple currencies.
Data Analysis: Use financial tools like Excel, Bloomberg, and Reuters to analyze fair market values and calculate forward exchange rates.
Reporting & Communication: Work with an independent administrator to verify portfolio pricing and discuss valuations directly with firm executives, portfolio managers, and risk managers.
Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. An MBA or CFA is a plus.
Experience: At least two years of experience in a trading environment with a focus on market value and P&L calculations for various financial instruments (e.g., derivatives, commodities, currencies, fixed income).
Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills are a must. You should be proficient with Excel, Bloomberg, and Reuters. Knowledge of FAS 157 Fair Value Measurements is also important.
Preferred: Experience with yield curve modeling tools is a plus.
