Job summary

Armanino LLP is seeking a senior valuation professional to lead and review complex engagements across financial reporting, gift and estate tax, 409A/ASC 718, and M&A. You will mentor staff, coordinate with directors and partners, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

You will defend models under ASC guidance, coach analysts, and build client relationships while contributing to market-facing materials and thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, statistics, mathematics or engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of valuation experience in a national firm or large practice.
• Proven ability to resolve external review questions (auditors, IRS).
• Strong client communication and excellent report writing skills.
• In-depth knowledge of ASC 805, ASC 350/360, ASC 718/409A, ASC 820.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg or equivalent data sources.
• Valuation designation(s): ASA, CFA, ABV, CVA.
• Ability to develop external relationships and bring in clients.
• Leadership, client management, and ability to manage multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Manage, review, and deliver valuation projects across various domains.
• Mentor staff and senior analysts; provide coaching to consultants.
• Prepare engagement letters with directors and partners.
• Build and defend financial models across income, market, and asset approaches.
• Be the technical resource using ASC, IRS, and USPAP guidance.
• Document conclusions to withstand audits and IRS scrutiny.
• Lead resolution of external review questions with audit teams and clients.
• Ensure projects are on budget and on time; manage billing and A/R.
• Communicate with key client contacts throughout the valuation process.
• Identify opportunities and contribute to thought leadership and market materials.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to grow the business.
