Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Valuation & Capital Market Analysis Associate - Complex Financial Instruments. You will work in a collaborative team to assist in valuation modeling, research, and analysis of financial statements for clients within the Valuation & Capital Market Analysis group.

You will contribute to building financial models for reporting, tax, regulatory, and transaction support, employing statistical techniques for valuations, and delivering narrative reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics or related field.
• Graduate degree or credential (FRM/CFA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in valuation of illiquid and complex securities and structured products.
• Construct financial models for reporting, tax, regulatory, and transaction support.
• Use statistical models for valuations across asset classes including derivatives.
• Support hedge advisory, economic studies, and model validation as needed.
• Prepare exhibits and memos illustrating complex issues; draft narrative valuation reports.
• Maintain documentation and ensure quality controls on work products.
• Participate in client meetings and research relevant industries and markets.
