BDO USA is seeking a Valuation & Capital Market Analysis Associate – Complex Financial Instruments to join its team in Maryland. The role involves building valuation models, researching industry and client data, and analyzing financial statements under guidance from senior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, or Economics is required.
• Graduate degree or professional credential (FRM, CFA) is preferred.
• Experience in valuation, corporate finance, or accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with valuation of illiquid and complex securities and structured products.
• Construct financial models for valuation of complex instruments.
• Apply mathematical and statistical models including Monte Carlo and lattice models.
• Support hedge advisory, model validation, and economic studies.
• Prepare exhibits and memos illustrating complex issues.
• Draft narrative valuation reports.
