Job summary

The Goodwin Hotel in downtown Hartford is seeking a Valet Parking Attendant to deliver a positive first and last impression for guests arriving and departing. You will park cars safely, greet guests warmly, and work in a fast-paced luxury environment within an outdoor-capable role.

Ideal candidates maintain a strong driving record, are at least 18, and demonstrate a reliable work ethic with weekend/holiday availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet arriving and departing guests with a positive attitude.
• Park cars in a safe, organized, and timely manner.
• Await guests in staging area and assist with parking or retrieval as needed.
• Return to front of hotel promptly after parking or pulling.
• Provide claim checks and guidance to reclaim vehicles.
• Provide directions and information to customers when necessary.
• Document and report departmental activities, including claims and vehicle status.
• Follow all traffic laws on and off property.

Role Summary:

The Valet Parking Attendant is responsible for providing a positive first and last impression to customers when they arrive and leave.

Role Responsibilities:

• Exhibit strong guest service and a positive attitude at all times, greeting all arriving and departing guests
• Park cars in a safe, organized, and timely manner
• Remain in staging area regardless of weather, waiting for guests to need their car to be parked or retrieved
• Return to the front of the hotel in a safe and timely manner after a park or pull
• Provide claim check and instruct customers on how to reclaim vehicle
• Provide travel directions and information to customers when necessary
• Provide accurate and timely documentation and reports of departmental activities and status including claim checks, vehicle damage, statements and conditions
• Obey all traffic laws on and off property
