The Blake Hotel in New Haven welcomes guests with modern luxury and warm hospitality. We are seeking a service-driven Valet Parking Attendant to create a positive first and last impression for arriving and departing guests.

As part of our team, you will park cars safely in all weather, assist guests with directions, and complete lightweight reports while upholding traffic laws and high standards of courtesy.

• Greet guests and provide excellent guest service
• Park cars safely and promptly
• Wait in staging area in all weather
• Return to the front of the hotel after parking
• Provide claim checks and explain retrieval
• Provide directions and information to guests
• Complete documentation and reports of activities
• Obey all traffic laws

Role Summary:

The Valet Parking Attendant is responsible for providing a positive first and last impression to customers when they arrive and leave.

Role Responsibilities:

• Exhibit strong guest service and a positive attitude at all times, greeting all arriving and departing guests
• Park cars in a safe, organized, and timely manner
• Remain in staging area regardless of weather, waiting for guests to need their car to be parked or retrieved
• Return to the front of the hotel in a safe and timely manner after a park or pull
• Provide claim check and instruct customers on how to reclaim vehicle
• Provide travel directions and information to customers when necessary
• Provide accurate and timely documentation and reports of departmental activities and status including claim checks, vehicle damage, statements and conditions
• Obey all traffic laws on and off property

Role Requirements:

• Able to work outdoors during different seasons
• Strong driving record
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Strong work ethic
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred
