Job summary

The Blake Hotel in New Haven, CT seeks a friendly Valet Parking Attendant to create a positive first and last impression for guests arriving and departing the property.

You will park cars safely, greet guests, provide directions, manage vehicle retrieval, and document key information while upholding exceptional service standards in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

This role requires weekend and holiday availability and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Strong guest service focus and a positive attitude are essential.
• Must have a safe driving history and be comfortable driving guests' vehicles.
• Excellent communication and professional appearance are required for guest interactions.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit strong guest service and a positive attitude at all times, greeting all arriving and departing guests
• Park cars in a safe, organized, and timely manner
• Remain in staging area regardless of weather, waiting for guests to need their car to be parked or retrieved
• Return to the front of the hotel in a safe and timely manner after a park or pull
• Provide claim check and instruct customers on how to reclaim vehicle
• Provide travel directions and information to customers when necessary
• Provide accurate and timely documentation and reports of departmental activities and status including claim checks, vehicle damage, statements and conditions
• Obey all traffic laws on and off property
