Job summary

Boston Harbor Hotel is seeking a Valet Parker in Boston, a Forbes Five-Star waterfront property. The incumbent will assist guests with Valet parking and guide self-parking directions, delivering exceptional Beyond Compare service to patrons.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a willingness to drive manual transmissions, and at least 1 year of experience, preferably in guest services. This is a non-exempt, on-site position in the Guest Services - Valet department.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience, with guest services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each vehicle before possession and mark findings; inform guests of valet rate.
• Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the Manager.
• Possess thorough knowledge of local streets/landmarks to provide directions.
• Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Respond promptly to guest service requests; assist/relieve door and bell staff as needed.
• Open doors for guests entering/exiting the hotel.
• Maintain lobby entrance vestibule cleanliness; assist with upkeep as needed.
• Acknowledge guests warmly and assist as needed.
• Perform operations for both standard and automatic vehicles; maintain a safe workspace.
• Complete all other assignments from Concierge and Director of Guest Services.
