Gun Lake Casino Resort is seeking a Valet/Bellman to provide exceptional service, parking vehicles and assisting guests with luggage. You will greet guests, manage valet tickets, and coordinate with front desk for a seamless experience.

Adhere to AAA Four Diamond standards and maintain a safe, professional environment. Ideal candidates are 18+ with a high school diploma, Michigan driver's license, and TIPS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and eligible to work in the US.
• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain a Chauffeur's license within 90 days of employment.
• Certification with Alcohol Awareness (TIPS) required or provided.
• Strong communication and neat handwriting, with professional presentation.

Responsibilities

• Record any existing damage on guests' vehicles prior to acceptance.
• Park vehicles properly in designated spaces and manage keys securely.
• Return cars promptly in the same condition as received.
• Greet guests and assist with luggage during arrival and departure.
• Operate valet desk, issue/track valet tickets, and coordinate with drivers.
• Maintain luggage storage areas and assist with room delivery.
• Assist front desk and other departments to fulfill guest requests.

Position Summary:The Valet/Bellman position will provide exceptional service by ensuring the safe and efficient handling of guest vehicles and luggage. Your role will involve both parking vehicles and assisting guests with their luggage, always practicing and promoting the resort’s AAA Four Diamond and Gun Lake Casino Resort’s “Unsurpassed Service Standards.” You will be the first and last point of contact for many guests, playing a critical role in creating a positive and lasting impression of our resort. Humility: Know that you are equal to everyone else, no better, no less.In this Role:Record any existing damage on the guest’s vehicle before accepting and parking it.Park guest vehicles properly and accurately in the designated parking spaces.Lock guest vehicles and securely store the keys.Keep the driveway clear of any cars that need to be parked.Return the car to the guest promptly and in the same condition as when it was received.Ensure a safe and clean working environment for both guests and staff.Drive both manual and automatic transmissions proficiently.Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with their luggage.Issue and manage valet tickets for incoming and outgoing vehiclesCoordinate with valet drivers to ensure efficient vehicle retrieval and parkingMaintain organized records of vehicle keys and ticket numbersAnswer guest inquiries regarding valet services, hotel amenities, and local directionsMonitor valet desk operations to ensure smooth workflow during peak hoursHandle guest requests, concerns, or complaints in a professional mannerKeep the valet desk area clean, organized, and presentableTransport guest luggage to and from their rooms efficiently and carefully.Provide guests with information about the resort’s amenities, services, and local attractions.Assist guests with inquiries and provide directions as needed.Coordinate with the front desk and other departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly.Safely and securely handle guest luggage, ensuring it is delivered to the correct room.Maintain the luggage storage area in an organized and secure manner.Assist guests with the storage of their luggage before check-in and after check-out.Practice, support, and promote the resort’s AAA Four Diamond and Gun Lake Casino Resort’s “Unsurpassed Service Standards” consistently.Interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.Maintain a high level of personal grooming and uniform standards.Perform other duties as assigned by management to meet the business needs of the resort.Work Conditions:Work is performed outdoors and involves continuous exposure to high and low temperatures, sunlight, wet surfaces, and noise, and may encounter second-hand smoke. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, jog, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.Essential Qualifications:Must be 18+ years of age.High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Experienced work as a hotel Bellman and/or Valet Parking Attendant preferred.Must have a valid driver’s license from the state of Michigan and have a clean driving record.Must be able to obtain a valid Chauffeurs driver’s license from the state of Michigan within 90 days of employmentMust hold/maintain certification with Alcohol Awareness (TIPS).
