Job summary

Gun Lake Casino Resort is seeking a Porter to maintain cleanliness of the casino and public areas, upholding our Unsurpassed Service standards. This role requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a loud, sometimes hot or cold environment.

You will operate cleaning tools, clean machines, handle spills, and ensure safety with chemicals and OSHA guidelines. Applicants must be 18+ with a High School Diploma or GED preferred, and have good communication with guests and team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous public-area or housekeeping cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
• Understand and comply with all Company and department rules.
• Interact with others in a friendly, positive, and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned area.
• Operate tools and equipment as trained.
• Clean and polish machines from base to top.
• Clean biohazard spills and contaminated areas; pick up and remove trash and broken glass.
• Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals and electrical equipment used within the department.
• Have knowledge of the SDS booklet location in your area.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performedfrom a non-sitting position. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull,and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trainedchemical usage.
