Job summary

Metro Auto Parks in Los Angeles is seeking an energetic valet to greet guests, assist with luggage, park cars carefully, and return vehicles promptly. The role requires stamina to stand for extended periods and excellent driving and customer service skills.

This position offers full-time or part-time schedules with a comprehensive benefits package, holidays, medical/dental/vision, and 401(k). Pay is $19.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years cashiering experience.
• Able to calculate and perform basic arithmetic functions in the application of revenue accounting and cash accounting.
• Excellent verbal communication and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Answer inquiries about rates, services and promotions.
• Process revenue transactions and accept cash or card payments.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers.
• Enter data accurately into the valet system.
• Sales memberships when appropriate.
• Prepare necessary accounting and service reports.
• Follow company policies and SOPs; adapt in fast-paced settings.

The valet's responsibilities include greeting guests, helping to unload luggage, parking cars carefully and returning vehicles quickly when guests are ready to leave. To be successful as a valet you must have the stamina to stand for extended periods of time while remaining vibrant and friendly. A great valet has excellent driving skills and good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and be available to customer for customer service related issues.
• Possess positive customer service skills.
• Must be able to answer inquiries about all rates, services and promotions.
• Utilize etiquette and professionalism during all customer interactions– phone or in person.
• Accurately process revenue transactions and receive payment by cash or credit card.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers.
• Accurate data entry of valet claim ticket data.
• Salesmanship skills are required to sell memberships.
• Ability to prepare necessary accounting reports, cashier shift reports, gas reports, service reports (where applicable) and any other required reports or forms.
• Compliance with company rules, policies and standard operating procedures.
• Able to troubleshoot in a fast paced environment.
