Job summary

L'Auberge Baton Rouge is seeking a Valet Attendant to greet guests, assist with luggage, and park or retrieve vehicles while delivering friendly, efficient service at our casino resort. You will be responsible for driving, safety, and guest interaction, requiring at least 6 months in customer service, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hospitality environment.

Qualifications

  • Six months’ experience in customer service field required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a driving record that meets Company requirements.
  • Valid state driver’s license required.
  • Obtain and maintain valid state responsible vendor permit.
  • Must be able to drive and operate all types of passenger vehicles with automatic or manual transmissions in a safe fashion.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 80 lbs., and work outside with varying temperatures, and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when maneuvering around work area.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights.
  • Compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers, transports luggage to and from vehicle to guest rooms, parks and retrieves vehicles with a positive attitude.
  • Initiates conversations with guests about services across the property including restaurants, entertainment and events.
  • Completes luggage tags and valet tickets, inspecting vehicles for prior damage.
  • Answers valet phone and responds to calls and expedited car requests from Casino Operations.
  • Supports safety and accident prevention programs and follows Department of Transportation rules.

  • Greets customer, transports luggage to and from vehicle to guest rooms, parks and retrieves customer’s passenger vehicles while creating a seamless customer service experience with an upbeat and positive attitude
  • Initiates and engages in conversations with guests on all services across the company properties including restaurants, entertainment, promotions and events
  • Accurately completes Luggage tags and Valet tickets which includes inspection of vehicle for prior damage
  • Answers valet phone and responds to luggage room calls and expedited car retrieval service from Casino Operations
  • Practices lateral service by stepping out of normal job description to help guests and co-workers, when business allows.
  • This includes, but is not limited to, driving shuttles and working in coat check
  • Consistently maintains an upbeat and positive attitude with guests and co-workers
  • Consistently practices a sense of urgency throughout entire shift to include sprinting to and from Valet lot and in all other job duties
  • Adheres to regulatory, safety, departmental and company policies, including Department of Transportation
  • Supports safety and accident prevention programs
  • Presents oneself as a Credit to Company and encourages others to do the same
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
