Job summary

Pilgrim Parking is seeking a part-time Valet Attendant on Boylston Street in Boston, MA. Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, plus cash tips, with a shift of under 30 hours per week.

You must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license for 2 years. A quick start is available for immediate employment in a fast-paced environment where you will greet guests, park vehicles, and help with basic tasks while staying active throughout your shift.

• Energetic, outgoing and able to stand, run, and carry items up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests cheerfully and thank them upon exit.
• Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and promptly.
• Explain parking rates and provide retrieval instructions for self-park vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles before possession and follow company guidelines.
• Maintain a neat uniform appearance and provide excellent guest service.
• Perform light cleaning or maintenance tasks as requested by management.

Pilgrim Parking is currently hiring Valet Attendants for part-time opportunities to start immediately.

Application Questions

• Can you drive a manual (standard, stick-shift) transmission?

What we're looking for

• Always cheerfully greet guests and sincerely thank them upon exit.
• Park and retrieve guest vehicles in a safe and timely manner.
• Explain the parking rates and provide instructions for guests to retrieve their self-park vehicles.
• Help the business by inspecting each vehicle before taking possession and following company guidelines.
• Impress us all by maintaining the company uniform appearance, cheerfully greeting and thanking guests, resolving issues, and being an all-around pleasure to be with.
• Be outside and active most of your day, standing walking, and sometimes helping with items weighing up to 50lbs.
• And you may be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks or other special projects.

Must haves

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have a valid driver's license and have been driving for at least 2 years.
• Energetic, outgoing and can stand, run, and carry items, up to 50lbs, if needed.
• Great communicator in both written and spoken language, with a friendly, professional approach to everyone you meet.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can help resolve customer issues in a positive and helpful way.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Physical Demands: Employees will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands-to-fingers, handle tools or controls, reach with hands or arms, talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs.

Work Environment: Employees may be subjected to weather conditions prevalent at the time. Employees are regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in this work environment can range from minimal to moderate.
