Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Patient Coordinator, a clinical expert RN who applies evidence-based practice to implement the VAD program. The role coordinates care with a multidisciplinary team from pre-implant through discharge, including education and ongoing case management.

Qualifications

• RN-licensure in Ohio; BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• BSN degree required; two years of RN experience in cardiology/cardiac surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educator: evaluate competency across clinical staff, patients, families and community resources.
• Researcher: coordinate or co-investigate VAD/HF studies; share findings to improve practice.
• Case Manager: manage all VAD patients from referral to post-discharge with ongoing follow-up.
• VAD Patient Care Manager: oversee VAD program equipment, policies and procedures.
• Customer Satisfaction: enhance relationships among patients, staff and external customers.
• Leader: collaborate with interdisciplinary team and Program Manager; strong communication and computer skills.
