Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital seeks a Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) coordinator for the Mechanical Support Program (MCS). You will be the central point of contact for the MCS program and collaborate with physicians, surgeons, PAs, NPs, RNs and other health professionals.

This role offers a leadership position in an academic setting. Ideal candidates have BSN, likely prior critical care experience, and demonstrate strong communication and adaptability.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) on hire or within one month of hire.
• Demonstrate leadership ability.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule to patient/staff needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• VAD coordinator for the Mechanical Support Program (MCS) at GW Hospital.
• Serve as central point of contact for the MCS program with physicians, surgeons, PAs, NPs, RNs and allied health staff.
• Take a leadership role in program building within an academic setting.
