Job summary
Edwards Vacuum is seeking a Workshop Technician Apprentice in Chandler, AZ. You will receive hands-on training in workshop operations, assembly, disassembly, and testing of vacuum pumps under the guidance of experienced technicians.
You’ll learn safety requirements, 6S housekeeping, and how to follow production plans, with opportunities to develop technical skills and contribute to continuous improvement. High school diploma required; shift work possible.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing.
- Willingness to learn to work with hand and power tools.
- Basic PC literacy; SAP experience is a plus.
- Willingness to work shifts and maintain attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist with assembly, disassembly, and testing of vacuum pumps under guidance.
- Review safety requirements and adhere to PPE and BAM procedures.
- Support daily production targets and learn production processes and priorities.
- Inspect parts and assemblies using work instructions and drawings.
- Follow Kanban, VTPS rules, and quality procedures; participate in improvements.
