Job summary

Edwards Vacuum is hiring a Workshop Technician to assemble, disassemble and test vacuum pumps at our Solon, Ohio facility. You will work from a weekly plan, collaborate with the team, and assist with corrective actions as needed.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years in manufacturing, with the ability to read drawings and use hand/power tools. SAP experience is a plus, and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have High School education or GED, preferably in a mechanical/technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or similar.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Good PC literacy; experience with SAP an advantage.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, and published specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/disassemble and test vacuum pumps according to a weekly plan.
• Assist in Corrective Action Reports as required.
• Report to the Team Leader and work with team members to meet daily targets.
• Inspect parts, assemblies, and systems per work instructions and drawings.
• Maintain 6S and provide input for continuous improvement.
