Job summary

VARIETY CARE INC seeks an Immunization Coordinator to manage immunization operations, inventory, documentation, and reporting in a clinic setting. The role supports efficient flow and high-quality patient care under the Practice Administrator.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, MA certification or 1+ years of experience, CPR within 90 days, and travel up to 15% within the state. Strong data entry and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certification or 1+ year experience.
• Experience across multiple service lines and managing clinical workflows with minimal supervision.
• CPR certification within 90 days.
• Ability to travel 15% within state.
• Proficient computer skills and data entry.
• HIPAA knowledge and Variety Care policies.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the clinic resource for immunization workflows, standards, and compliance.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to clinic and patient needs.
• Manages immunization inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, monitoring, and reconciliation.
• Maintains accurate immunization documentation in OSIIS and the EMR.
• Prepares and submits required immunization reports and documentation to appropriate agencies.
• Administers immunizations under provider direction, including VIS review and patient education.
• Monitors vaccine storage conditions, including temperature logs.
• Supports clinic readiness for immunization services through supply management and workflow coordination.
• Communicates effectively with patients, providers, and team members using culturally sensitive practices.
• Adheres to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and Variety Care policies.
• Assists with medical emergencies as directed by the provider.
• Supports accreditation and Quintuple Aim goals; promotes safe, effective, patient-centered care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
