Job summary

FoundCare, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support its immunization program and clinical teams. The role involves vaccine coordination, storage, and inventory management, along with patient rooming, vaccine administration, and EMR documentation to ensure safe, efficient care.

The candidate will assist in maintaining VFC and VFA compliance, travel to locations as needed, and provide education to patients while upholding HIPAA standards and office policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of vaccine storage and handling requirements, CDC and ACIP schedules, and VFC/VFA program requirements.
• Foundational clinical and administrative medical assisting knowledge including patient rooming, specimen collection, medication administration, and EMR documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EMR navigation, and Florida SHOTS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vaccine management and storage, ensuring temperature logs and compliance with VFC and VFA.
• Assist providers with patient rooming, vaccines, and procedures; document in EMR.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with clinical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique as required.
• Administer medications and vaccines per provider orders; monitor patient status and comfort.
• Maintain vaccine inventory, rotate stock, and manage expiration dates; report waste per guidelines.
• Provide patient education and support to promote safe, high-quality care.
