Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades project at Doris Miller Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Waco, Texas. You will oversee design/construction activities, coordinate with stakeholders, monitor budgets, and ensure progress aligns with requirements.

The role is contingent with a potential 2-year total period, requiring strong PM credentials and healthcare/regulatory project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or closely related field.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible construction project management experience in lieu of a degree.
• Professional credentials such as PMP, CCM, PE, or RA are highly desirable.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of verifiable experience managing construction or renovation projects of comparable size, scope, and complexity, preferably in healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience in project delivery including schedule management, cost control, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and oversight of construction contract administration.
• Three (3) projects of similar scale and complexity completed.

Responsibilities

• Manage all project activities related to the VA design and construction delivery process while coordinating with stakeholders, designers, contractors, and facility personnel.
• Monitor project budgets, financial data, cost accounting, and construction contract change orders to help keep projects within budget.
• Review, maintain, and update project schedules, identify delays, and recommend actions to maintain project progress.
• Lead or support project progress meetings, document project status, and follow up on Government action items.
• Coordinate issue resolution by evaluating project impacts, reviewing proposed changes, and recommending solutions to the COR.
• Track required testing, inspections, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Oversee construction administration activities, including RFIs, change orders, project documentation, closeout submittals, and as-built records.
• Support claims analysis and dispute resolution by preparing reports, cost estimates, time impact analyses, and other project documentation as required.
