Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a qualified NP or PA to perform VA C&P General Medicine examinations, review veterans' medical histories, and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines.

The role emphasizes independent clinical assessment, thorough documentation, HIPAA compliance, and timely reporting, with flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN) and collaborative physician supervision as required by state law.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
