Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a licensed NP or PA to perform VA General Medicine examinations, review Veterans' medical histories, and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) per VA guidelines. The provider will document objective findings and prepare detailed medical reports.

Responsibilities include conducting C&P exams, ensuring HIPAA compliance, collaborating with clinical and administrative teams, and delivering timely evaluations with high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documents before evaluations.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete DBQs accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.
