Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA Disability Benefits examinations in the Medford, Oregon area. You will review veterans' medical history, conduct comprehensive General Medicine evaluations, and document findings to complete DBQs in line with VA guidelines.

The role emphasizes independence within established clinical protocols, collaboration with a supervising physician as required by state law, and detailed, objective medical reporting.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
