Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a healthcare professional to conduct VA General Medicine examinations, review medical histories, and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines. The role requires independent work, precise documentation, and adherence to privacy and regulatory standards.

The selected clinician will document findings, generate detailed reports, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.
