Job summary

Empower Mental Health in the United States is seeking a Psychiatrist for VA Compensation & Pension evaluations. This is a non-treatment, non-therapeutic role conducted in person and/or via telehealth as needed.

Qualifications

• MD/DO license required.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P evaluations for Veterans.
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized assessment tools.
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews.
• Document findings clearly and concisely in VA-required formats.
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes.
• Complete and submit reports within required timeframes.
• Non-Treatment Role: No diagnosing for treatment or medication management.
• Maintain strict boundaries between evaluation and clinical care.
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
• Maintain professionalism when working with Veteran populations.
