Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a Psychiatrist to perform VA Compensation & Pension evaluations. This is a 1099 independent contractor role focused on objective, structured assessments for Veterans, using VA DBQs and standardized tools.

Evaluations may be conducted in person or via telehealth with flexible scheduling. A medical license (MD/DO) and strong report-writing skills are required to ensure precise, unbiased documentation. No treatment provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluation & assessment of Veterans for VA C&P purposes
• Conduct structured psychological evaluations per VA guidelines
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized tools
• Gather relevant history via focused interviews
• Document findings clearly in VA formats with objectivity
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments and timely reports
• Complete and submit reports within required timeframes
• Non-treatment role with boundaries between evaluation and clinical care
