Lincoln Tech is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor/VA Specialist to assist students, campus staff, and external partners with VA benefits and financial aid programs. You will manage needs analysis, award packaging, document tracking, and inquiries, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities include conducting VA packaging interviews, presenting information, and guiding students through the application process while maintaining organized records and timely communications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of general clerical experience in a college/university financial aid office.
• Proficiency with MS Office and strong organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct preliminary packaging interviews with VA students.
• Deliver customer-service oriented presentations and respond to inquiries.
• Provide accurate information about application process, eligibility for state/federal aid, and VA benefits.
• Collect information to determine eligibility for proper funding packaging.
• Advise students on documentation obligations and required verification.
• Answer questions about financing packages professionally and accurately.
• Review eligibility documents and initiate tracking for applications and missing documents.
• Diligent follow-up on missing paperwork to complete files.
• Attend VA workshops to stay current with regulatory changes.
