Job summary

Lincoln Tech in East Windsor, CT is seeking an experienced Financial Aid professional to lead the Financial Aid Department in the daily operation of packaging for incoming students. You will plan, direct, and monitor timely processing of Financial Aid in line with federal/state regulations and company policy.

You will also lead training and development of staff, resolve inquiries, and ensure actions satisfy students, company, and regulatory expectations. Evening/weekend events may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 2+ years Title IV Administration experience or 3+ years including management.
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
• Ability to manage a team of employees.

Responsibilities

• Reach out to students to assist in completion of packaging and coordinate with Campus President to ensure start requirements are in place.
• Manage daily operations of the Financial Aid Department and implement policies for accurate and timely awarding of Title IV funds.
• Perform routine audits on student files to ensure compliance with Title IV regulations.
• Oversee processing of new and existing loan and grant applications and Institutional Loan Program monitoring.
• Ensure accurate verification and documentation of independent status.
• Maintain document tracking systems (Pell Grants, Federal loans, tax returns, etc.).
• Coordinate the school's response to audits related to Title IV program management.

Lincoln Tech in East Windsor, CT is looking for an experienced Financial Aid professional to lead the school in the daily operation of the Financial Aid Department to ensure all incoming students are accurately and completely packaged. Assist in planning, directing, implementing, and monitoring the timely processing of Financial Aid in accordance with federal and/or state regulations and Company policy. Lead the training, development, and evaluation of staff to ensure work is performed accurately and efficiently. Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, and ensure appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student, Company, and/or regulatory agencies in compliance with policy, procedure, and legal requirements. FA Manager will also be responsible for the daily management of Financial Aid Advisors and staff. Work schedule will be determined by the Campus President to determine all campus needs requiring FA participation are covered. This may include evening and weekend events.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and at least 2 years' experience in Title IV Administration or 3 or more years' experience in Title IV Administration and management
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
• Ability to manage a team of employees.

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree
• Prior experience managing a team of FA Advisor strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reaching out to students to assist in the completion of packaging as well as working closely with all departments and Campus President to ensure all start requirements are in place when students begin school
• Management of the daily operations of the Financial Aid Department and implement new policies to ensure the accurate, timely, and ethical awarding and processing of Title IV program funds according to federal and/or state regulations and Company policies and procedures
• Perform routine audits on active and inactive student files to ensure compliance with Title IV regulations
• Oversee the processing of new and student loan and grant applications. Monitor and track the school's Institutional Loan Program
• Responsible for the accurate completion of verification and documentation of independent status
• Oversee and monitor maintenance of the document tracking systems within the office (Pell Grants, Federal loans, income tax returns, etc.) as required
• Assist with coordinating the school's response to any internal/external audit related to the management of Title IV program
