Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Merritt Island, FL, is seeking a Verification and Validation Lead for the lunar lander program. The role oversees V&V strategy, flight readiness, and certification across multiple concurrent vehicle development efforts.

The candidate will own validation approaches, manage verification evidence from system to component levels, and coordinate across Systems Engineering, IPT teams, and customers. A strong track record in spacecraft V&V is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
• 8+ years of Systems Engineering experience with emphasis on verification, validation, integration, and certification of complex systems.
• Experience as a V&V lead or senior V&V engineer on a spacecraft program.
• Deep knowledge of spacecraft systems design, traceability, and full V&V lifecycle.
• Ability to lead and coordinate across large, multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Own V&V strategy, planning, and execution across lunar lander development efforts.
• Maintain the program's Validation approach, including Model Validation Plans and Processes.
• Oversee requirements verification and associated evidence from system to component level.
• Own verification and validation processes, tools, metrics, and data management.
• Own Flight Readiness and Certification planning including Flight Readiness Plan and Checklist.
• Represent V&V in program reviews and serve as customer POC for V&V.
