Job summary

Fathom Robotics is seeking a Program Manager to own the full lifecycle of select unmanned maritime systems programs, from pricing and proposals through execution on site with customers and government partners.

The role involves leading diverse teams across primes, OEMs, and government customers in both office and field environments, with about 30% travel and eligibility for SECRET clearance. A strong background in defense contracting and cost proposal development is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on program management experience.
• 5+ years of program or project management experience within defense or government contracting.
• Experience building bottom-up cost proposals for government contracts, including labor rate and pricing across contract types.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel ~30% to field sites and government facilities; US person status.
• Must pass background check and be eligible for SECRET clearance.
• PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of select UxS operations and engineering programs, from pricing and proposal to execution.
• Lead cross-functional teams across primes, OEMs, and government customers in office and field environments.
• Translate scope shifts into documented, priced changes for execution and customer alignment.
• Coordinate travel to customer sites, government facilities, and field test locations as needed.
• Balance ambiguous problems into simple, executable plans while interfacing with engineers, customers, and prospective clients.
