Job summary

Demil Transport Services LLC is seeking an UXO Technician I to provide technical support and set standards for personnel conducting ordnance response projects. The role covers reconnaissance, classification, disposal, transportation, and storage of UXO in compliance with laws and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include locating subsurface UXO with magnetometers, assisting in demolition and disposal operations, and performing demilitarization per DoD standards, while maintaining equipment and

Qualifications

• Graduate of a military EOD School or DDESB UXO-TI course.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with annual refresher.
• Biannual physician's work release following OSHA physical.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance and classification of UXO including identification of missiles, bombs, fuzes and munitions.
• Locate subsurface UXO with magnetometers and assist excavation procedures.
• Transport and store UXO and demolition materials; prepare firing systems for disposal operations.
• Dispose of ammunition/explosives by detonation; support decontamination and inspection activities.
• Demilitarization actions per DoD standards and ship processed material to recycler or landfill.
