Job summary

IONNA is seeking a UX/UI and EV routing test engineer to own the infotainment and automotive apps experience, focusing on charging station integration and real‑time status. You will critique and improve the on‑screen experience for drivers under real driving conditions and drive validation of updates.

The role requires working closely with UX designers, software engineers, and data teams to raise the quality bar across IONNA's charging network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance/test engineering
• Genuine interest in user experience and UI design with attention to layout, navigation, and visual consistency
• Basic understanding of mobile/embedded app testing, manual test execution, and defect tracking
• Experience with TestRail and JIRA for test management and defect tracking
• Excellent communication and task management to coordinate with stakeholders
• Comfort with automotive concepts such as OCPP and in-vehicle navigation systems

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases for in-vehicle infotainment and automotive apps focusing on usability and interaction design
• Test integration between navigation systems and charging network data including station status and routing recommendations
• Validate EV trip planning features, range estimation, charger stop suggestions, and rerouting behavior
• Perform usability testing on infotainment interfaces and document friction points against design specs
• Log, prioritize, and track defects through resolution with design and engineering teams
• Support in-vehicle and bench testing across different automotive platforms and head units
• Contribute to test plans, acceptance criteria, and quality checklists for new features
• Partner with product and UX teams to translate design into measurable quality standards
• Maintain documentation of test coverage, results, and known issues
