Job summary

Volvo Car Germany GmbH is seeking a Software Engineering Analyst focusing on Test Strategy & Validation to ensure high-quality core UI and system behavior in infotainment software. You will verify the core HMI, validate integration layers, and drive improvements in test strategies and automation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, tackle defects, and contribute to CI-driven validation in an Android/embedded environment.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in manual and automated testing.
• Used to work with hardware, e.g. flashing units and updating rigs, extract logs.
• Knowledge about Google xTS test suite.
• CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Git/Gerrit.
• Java understanding.
• Android or embedded systems.
• Debugging and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Verify and validate the core HMI and System UI layer, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Work with features that act as the integration layer between multiple applications and vehicle functions.
• Analyze defects and support root cause investigations in a complex Android-based system.
• Drive regression testing and continuous quality improvements within the team’s scope.
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and other ART teams to ensure robust deliveries.
• Contribute to improving test strategies, automation, and CI-driven validation.
