Placements24 is seeking an insightful UX Researcher for a product innovation lab in Paarl to understand user needs and inform product development.

You will plan and conduct studies, translate findings into actionable insights, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to prioritize user needs and improve digital products.

A 3+ year track record in UX research with a strong portfolio and excellent communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute user research studies (interviews, surveys, usability tests, contextual inquiry).

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define research objectives and integrate user feedback into development.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, and artifacts to represent user needs and inform design decisions.
• Present research findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Advocate for the user throughout the product development process.

About the Role

Our client, a product innovation lab based in Paarl , is looking for an insightful and analytical UX Researcher . You will be at the forefront of understanding user needs and behaviors to inform the design and development of new products and features. This role involves planning and conducting a variety of research studies, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and translating findings into actionable recommendations for product and design teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring our client's offerings are user-centered, effective, and delightful to use, shaping the future of their digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute user research studies using methodologies such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and contextual inquiry.
• Analyze research data to identify user pain points, needs, and behaviors, and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define research objectives and integrate user feedback into the product development lifecycle.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to represent user needs and inform design decisions.
• Present research findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
• Advocate for the user throughout the product development process, ensuring user needs are prioritized.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in UX research, with a strong portfolio demonstrating research methodologies and impact.
• Proficiency in a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Experience with user research tools and platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
