Job summary

Unum is seeking a Director of UX Operations & Design Program Management to scale UX across value streams, align with business priorities, and deliver measurable quality and value. You will lead talent, portfolio planning, and governance, partnering with design, research, product, and engineering to establish operating rhythms, dashboards, and executive reporting.

The role requires senior leadership experience, strong change management skills, and a track record of delivering enterprise-scale UX

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership in UX, DesignOps, program or portfolio management
• Experience directing complex, multi-team portfolios across design, research, product, engineering
• Working knowledge of Agile and scaled delivery, design systems, and governance

Responsibilities

• Lead UX talent, culture and workforce enablement across value streams.
• Direct portfolio planning and operating rhythms for UX initiatives with senior stakeholders.
• Oversee dependencies across design, research, product, engineering and finance; manage risks and decisions.
• Establish standards for intake, prioritization, reporting, and executive support.
• Mentor program managers and design leads in planning and stakeholder management.
