Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or business discipline.
• 10+ years of UX or design experience with leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Mastery in at least two UX disciplines and fluency in the rest.
• Experience applying Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX or similar frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to influence across the org.
• Strategic thinking with deep empathy for users and a growth-oriented culture.
• Commitment to inclusive, creative design culture.
• Proven ability to build cross-team relationships aligning UX strategy.
• Experience hiring design and research talent and engaging in recruiting processes.
• Experience leading design work involving AI and determining where it adds value.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 810 experience designers and researchers to deliver human-centered solutions.
• Shape vision for global digital services, cybersecurity, and mobile app experiences across teams.
• Guide the team in applying the right tools and methods driven by data, insights, and empathy.
• Build and grow a research practice with a roadmap and rigorous methods.
• Advocate for the user by incorporating qualitative and quantitative research at all design stages.
• Foster innovation by exploring AI with a responsible, human-centered approach.
• Collaborate with UX leaders to ensure cohesive experiences across Liberty Mutual's ecosystem.
• Elevate design systems, workflows, and standards for accessible, scalable outcomes.
• Coach and mentor designers/researchers to extend their impact.
• Deliver UX assets such as blueprints, roadmaps, personas, journey maps, wireframes, and protos.
