Apex Space, Inc. is seeking a senior UX Designer to shape the future of Octopus, the proprietary operating system for building spacecraft at scale.

You will work on end-to-end experiences used by technicians, engineers, planners, and operators across the production lifecycle. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent design experience.
• 5+ years designing interactive web applications.
• Experience designing enterprise/internal tools under time pressure.
• Experience building and maintaining a design system and defining standards.

Responsibilities

• Research and define UX strategy for Octopus; contribute to product and design direction.
• Observe real workflows on the factory floor and translate into design solutions for diverse users.
• Relentlessly optimize workflows to reduce clicks and errors.
• Design for high-density operating environments: shop-floor terminals, tablets, and analytics tools.
• Measure design performance and iterate based on user feedback.
• Own the Octopus design system and UX standards; ensure consistency across teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders; present work to partners and leaders.
• Follow work through implementation and maintain visual and interaction quality.
