Job summary

Arc is seeking a UX/UI Designer to own the full digital product experience—from the mobile app used by boat owners to in-cockpit touchscreens and the marketing site. You will work with engineers, product managers, and the marketing team to translate complex marine systems into elegant, intuitive interfaces.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in UX/UI design for complex products, strong toolchain skills, and a knack for rapid iteration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of UX/UI design experience for complex digital products.
  • Proven ability to set product vision through design with research-driven solutions.
  • Proficient in modern design toolchain (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CS) and capable of leveraging AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design across platforms: wireframes, prototypes, and final UI assets for engineering handoff.
  • Create best-in-class interfaces for boat control, vessel subsystems, and customer service experiences across Arc Sport and Tug/Ferry lines.
  • Design a compelling website representing Arc's premium brand.
  • Build and maintain a scalable design system and style guide.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to define requirements, prototype, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing.
  • Iterate quickly in Figma or in real-world environments including on boats.
