Job summary

Awardco in Lindon, UT is seeking a design intern for a full‑time summer internship starting in April/May 2027 and ending in August/September 2027. You will contribute to the product experience, applying user‑centered design, creating wireframes, and prototyping with AI tools to test ideas with real users.

You will gather requirements, develop personas, and document workflows while collaborating with product and UX teams to drive real business impact.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s degree program or within 1 year of completed program/relevant bootcamp certification.
• Familiarity with core design software (Figma, Claude Code and Claude Design), plus hands-on comfort with AI-assisted tools.
• Ability to critically assess AI-generated work and apply human judgment when needed.
• Coachable and open to feedback.
• Strong communication and collaboration in a team environment.
• Accountable and ready to take ownership over assigned tasks/projects.

Responsibilities

• Apply user-centered design principles to improve workflow, expand functionality, and enhance visual appeal.
• Gather requirements, define information architecture, create sample personas, and document workflows using AI thoughtfully.
• Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, including interactive prototypes using AI-assisted tools.
• Perform user research and usability testing, guiding AI outputs with human insight when needed.
• Incorporate research results to create new features and improve existing ones with business impact.
