Job summary

Vertiv's Experience Design Group is seeking a user experience intern to join our team. You will work closely with senior designers, product managers, and developers to help shape user experiences for our web, mobile, and industrial applications.

You will assist with user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing to solve real customer problems in a hands-on learning environment designed to kickstart your career in UX.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in UX/UI Design, HCI, Graphic Design, Psychology, or related field.
• Portfolio showcasing user-centered design process, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Familiarity with standard design and prototyping software (e.g., Figma).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user interviews, surveys, and competitive analyses.
• Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes.
• Participate in usability testing sessions and translate insights into design improvements.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing to align designs with goals.
• Maintain and update UI components, style guides, and design documentation.

• Testing & Iteration: Participate in usability testing sessions, gather feedback, and help translate insights into design improvements.

Qualifications

Competitive/ideal candidates must have the following skills/experience:

• Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Psychology, or a related field.
• Portfolio: A portfolio of academic, personal, or professional projects showcasing a user-centered design process, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with standard design and prototyping software (e.g., Figma).
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present design ideas clearly.
