Job summary

Symbotic in Wilmington, MA is seeking a Summer Intern in User Experience to contribute to real projects and learn from experienced designers. You will apply user-centered design, participate in design thinking, and help grow the UI Design System.

This internship offers mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and exposure to our robotics and automation technologies; travel may be up to 10%, and relocation benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of UX design principles and information architecture.
• Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and produce results independently.

Responsibilities

• Apply user-centered design and Lean Design to create exceptional experiences.
• Organize and facilitate user testing sessions with cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to developing and maintaining the Symbotic UI Design System.
• Own end‑to‑end design projects from sketches to prototypes and visuals.
• Observe operations at Wilmington, MA HQ to inform design decisions.
