Job summary

Symbotic in Wilmington, MA is offering an internship/coop in UX design. You will apply user-centered design, Lean Design, and Design Thinking to create exceptional experiences.

Build sketches, wireframes, high‑fidelity visuals, and Figma prototypes while collaborating with UX Researchers and senior designers. Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in CS, HCI, or related field, curious and collaborative, able to handle ambiguous requirements, and proficient with Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid understanding of UX design principles and user-centered design methods.
• Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and deliver results independently.
• Familiar with design tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.

Responsibilities

• Apply user-centered design, Design Thinking, and Lean Design to create great user experiences.
• Be a self-motivated team member, work independently and seek guidance when needed.
• Organize and run user testing sessions with UX researchers and designers.
• Contribute to developing and maintaining the Symbotic UI Design System.
• Own design projects from sketches to pixel-perfect prototypes in Figma.
• Advocate for end-users and usability, accessibility, and interface standards.
