Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced UX leader to drive tactical and innovative UX initiatives for mobile and web platforms. You will define delightful user experiences, deliver wireframes, prototypes, and assets, and mentor junior staff in an agile environment.

You will collaborate with Research, Regulatory, and UX teams to ensure user-centered design and FDA-relevant guidelines where applicable, while evangelizing the UX language across the company.

Job description

• Lead tactical and innovation UX initiatives for Android, iOS, complex web, and e-commerce applications
• Define safe, effective, and delightful mobile user experiences using industry-standard design tools
• Deliver wireframes, assets, GUI specifications, prototypes, and related UX work in an agile development environment
• Lead programs with minimal management supervision and mentor junior staff
• Lead UX discussions with technical integration partners, including requirements, APIs, and branding
• Collaborate with User Research and Human Factors teams to test concepts and apply user-centered design practices
• Communicate design concepts and UX vision to software teams, executives, and customers
• Collaborate with Clinical and Human Factors teams to meet FDA guidelines for medical-device experiences
• Drive UX process, tooling, design-language, and experience innovation initiatives
• Lead multifunctional teams defining holistic customer experiences across product, web, mobile, integrations, and wearables
• Develop corporate UX design language, standards, and frameworks
• Evangelize UX design across the company

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Master’s in Psychology, Computer Science, HCI, Industrial Engineering, Interaction Design, Design, Human Factors or equivalent required
• 7+ years of relevant experience in UX and product design
• Expert knowledge of industry-standard UX/Dev tools, including InVision, Balsamiq, Azure, Zeplin, Creative Cloud, Framer, Sketch, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Fluent in usability standards, design heuristics, and responsive design techniques
• Expert knowledge of Android and iOS UI guidelines and web/responsive platforms
• Strong portfolio with storytelling and presentation skills
• At least 5 years of experience working in an agile development environment with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Human Factors, Regulatory, Compliance, and Legal
• Experience executing mobile application UX for consumer or medical devices
• Working knowledge of User Research tools and methodologies
• Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams on high-visibility initiatives in a distributed environment
• Ongoing US travel as needed, at least once per quarter
