Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Unmanned Underwater Vessel Associate for an on-site position in San Diego, CA. You will support data collection and analysis for mine countermeasure objectives in harbors, littorals, and shipping lanes, and contribute to R&D on new UUV sensors.

Expect deployments to major fleets, periodic travel, and hands-on work with MS Office tools, plus required safety certifications. This is a dynamic role with field operations and collaboration across Navy units.

Qualifications

• BS degree or 4+ years Navy/military or UUV training required.
• Active/Current DoD SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 2 years and maintain SECRET clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• MIL-STD weight carrying limits and ability to handle man-portable UUVs/equipment.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Valid US passport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly on-water UUV missions to meet objectives assigned by government or project leads.
• Troubleshoot and maintain MK18 UUV system and other platforms.
• Deploy to 5th/6th/7th Fleet AORs; travel, lodging, and compensation provided by company.
• Periodic CONUS/OCONUS travel for UUV Testing & Evaluation at bases or shipboard ops.
• Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Maintain prerequisites for forklift license (25k and below) and Cat 3 crane certification.
• Apply for and maintain a Corporate Credit Card.
